No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

I've just been reminded of the time at school when the teacher took the register by hilariously swapping the first letters of first name/surname so Dave Bennett became Bave Dennett, Colin Chiverton was Cholin Civerton, and so on. Until he got to Chiara Hunt.

Muppets Christmas Carol is the best Christmas movie bc it includes a song with the lyrics, "your future is a horror story written by your crimes" & nothing says Christmas cheer more than that. Also Michael Caine deserved all the awards for that performance. Perfection. No notes.

If someone has travelled thousands of miles, paying everything they own to an exploitative people smuggling gang, risking their life in a deadly channel crossing, I do not want to be the person who takes their last valuables – a mother’s necklace? A gift? – from them. And nor should the rest of us.

Please help & RT. Has anyone seen this very confused lady wandering around Washington at all? She answers to the name 'Liz' & her carers are very, very worried about her. She was last seen shouting at cars. Please don't mention crashing the economy or lettuces as this tends to upset her. Thank you 👍

An explanation, for tonight
A cartoon by Stephen Collins. Script as follows:

1
THE SCENE: is BBC Television centre or wherever that is these days. HARRY STYLES is getting out of a limo to enter a studio. An autograph-hunting FAN accosts him.

Also, a DATE STAMP appears ‘on screen’, like it used to do in the X-files, reading:

OCTOBER, 2024: Maidstone Studios, England

FAN 1:
That’s Harry Styles!

FAN 2 [Approaching Harry]:
Can I have a selfie, Harry?

2
FAN:
What are you doing at Maidstone Studios on this finbe day in mid October, Harry?

3
HARRY STYLES:
Why, I’ve come here in mid-October to record ‘Jools Holland’s New Year Hoote-‘

4
*FSHW*
[Harry Styles is suddenly vaporised by a LASER BEAM]

5
[We see the culprit; a hi tech flying DRONE has zapped Mr Styles to death. The drone has a camera eye on the front of it]

6
[Cut to: JOOLS HOLLAND in his Hootenanny lair, watching a screen which has just alerted him to the elimination of Styles]

[Legend on screen]:
ARTIST ELIMINATED

HOLLAND:
Goddamn it

7
HOLLAND:
Why can’t they keep their mouths SHUT?

8
HOLLAND:
Tim Davie!

TIM DAVIE [Director General of the BBC]:
Y-yes Jools?

HOLLAND:
Who’ve we got left for this year?

10
TIM DAVIE:
The Boomtown Rats, one of Sister Sledge and Marc Almond

HOLLAND:
Almond *again*?

11
TIM DAVIE:
We’re running out of artists to call, sir…

M-must we keep killing… so many…?

HOLLAND:
You know the rules, Davie. The secret of the Hootenanny must be protected at all costs. All who divulge it…

12
HOLLAND [close up on his evil face, eye twitching]:
Must be eliminated

Three cut price cheesecakes in the supermarket last week. I love cheesecake. Popped them in the freezer and take a slice out each night, to defrost in the fridge. I've been having black coffee and cheese cake for breakfast every day since. Glorious! This must be how Oprah lives.

The front cover of the 2015 Christmas edition of What's On TV.
as in previous years, its main coverline is Together at Christmas!
The picture is a woman and her dog. I've no idea what show they're from (sorry) but previous years covers have featured two people getting together romantically. So if the same is happening here, well, Corrie really has gone to the dogs.

If you tell a woman you like her dress, it’s highly likely you’ll get at least one of these responses: (If it has pockets) “Thanks. It has pockets!” [shows you the pockets] “It only cost a fiver! Bargain!” “This old thing! It’s not nice. I look like a potato. I’m going to burn it.”
