Games I played today, that are actually functional (an annoyingly high bar, apparently) Back on Your Feet - Pixely boxing game Hush Hush Bootleg Spirits - buggy but charming Schedule 1 but for liquor Books Hate You - 3D platformer in a library. Needs better sounds but otherwise pretty solid. 1/?

Painting my mecha an appropriately dour black to go to funeral in. Can't have the neon hazard stripes for an event like that. The massive decorative cat ears are staying on, though.

Hate, hate, hate the whole "go paperless" thing meaning no one keeps hard copies of anything anymore and the companies whose job it is to store your important documents will just delete your entire account when you're not looking. There should be a 10 year archival minimum on this shit.

oh sorry i can't do missions any more I'm on reload debt. You know how heroes never reload their guns? It turns out that ammo has to come from somewhere. Loaded guns I hold just empty themselves as soon as I'm in any actual danger. Estimates have it at about -530 rounds. No, my aim is not good.

I've seen multiple times seeing people who have *never been to America* reference something being "like Harbor Freight". Please. Stop

There's been a little bit of a shield to hide behind as they've gradually killed the actually usable Reddit interface, because it is definitely easier to scrape and thus encourages automated traffic. But killing support for RSS kinda gives away the game, no? It doesn't hurt you at all, and yet!

the "Information Age" is bullshit. Just because we send a lot more emails than we used to doesn't mean we're not constantly using iron/steel for everything. Even materials like aluminum and plastic require steel tools! We're not changing ages until it's normal to know someone who lives in space.
