AMN Reviews: Igorrr – Amen (Metal Blade Records, 2025)
Igorrr’s Amen continues Gautier Serre’s project combining extreme metal and breakcore with hints of classical music, choral, electronic programming, and deliberately excessive theatricality. The album is one stylistic collision after another, not unlike the more frenetic selections from John Zorn's catalog, but in a different musical context. Daemoni opens by establishing the album’s vocabulary, with synthesized rhythms and programmed beats, grinding riffs, and an overall gothic feel.
