<div class="field field-field-text"><p>The foreign minister of Yemen’s government is requesting the international community's backing against the Houthis.</p>
<p>for more support to defeat the Houthis, saying it’s “in the world’s interest” for the country to be stable.</p>
<p>"We call upon our brothers, friends, and the international community to support the Yemeni people, their state, and their national institutions in confronting the terrorist Houthi militia, which seizes their will by force of arms and lays waste to the lives of their sons — after exhausting all opportunities for de-escalation and peace," Afrah al-Zouba wrote in a post on X.</p>
<p>"The danger posed by this militia and its crimes has transcended Yemen’s borders, and putting an end to its aggression and terminating its treacherous coup has become a shared national, regional, and international responsibility and interest that demands a firm stance and effective support."</p>

<p dir="ltr" lang="en">Yemenis have the right to restore their state and security, and it is in the interest of the world for Yemen to be stable, safeguarding the security of its neighbors and the safety of international navigation. This is the purpose of the liberation battle announced by His Excellency President @PresidentRashad: a state that protects its citizens, monopolizes the use of arms, asserts its sovereignty over all its territory, respects international norms and obligations, and ends the exploitation of Yemen’s people, land, and coasts in service of the criminal Houthi militia project and the agenda of the Iranian regime. We call on our brothers, friends, and the international community to support the Yemeni people, their state, and their national institutions in confronting the Houthi terrorist militia, which seizes their will by force of arms and violates the lives of Yemenis after all opportunities for de‑escalation and peace were exhausted. The danger and crimes of this militia have surpassed Yemen’s borders, and putting an end to its aggression and ending its unlawful coup has become a shared national, regional, and international responsibility and interest—one that requires a firm stance and effective support.</p>
