With a few very rare exceptions the only coin minted from around the 760's to 1279 was the silver penny. Fractions would be achieved by cutting the coin, in half for a halfpenny, and quarters for a farthing (aka fourthing) From 1279 under Edward I round fractions were produced.

Ok, this is cool. We describe assets in terms of duration - think of this as the effective date of the payoff. Older Maine voters (and their children and grandchildren) have a very “integralist” sense of what it means to be from Maine. If you moved there in your 20s or as a child? Doesn’t cut it. Collins (and her forebears) are Mainers by anyone’s definition. Her opponents often have not been. Jackson is.

I'm going to do it again. I'm going to quote Althusser: "Ideology is material." AND "Ideology interpellates individuals as subjects." Hence it is possible for people to feel that xx product/style etc. is their "personal" preference, even as that preference is the product of social forces.

Scientist spouse reminds me pop. of Irkutsk is less than 1/10 that of Wuhan. And current terrible Ebola outbreak has not spread very far because it’s so fatal. The 2019-20 pandemic was a virus that killed many but not all and started in a transport hub. I found this helpful. I mask in crowds
