Dean's injuries played a huge part in the Campbell pick. I think if they knew that Dean would be relatively healthy after his playoff injury they don't make that pick. They needed to get a real second safety to play next to Mukuba. You can't have him be your main guy back there.

My take is that he will get signed to a more real contract. I think teams are going to see the Phillies multiple failures with hitters and blame them over Arraez. I also think the Phillies could be the ones signing him with the infield needs and the fact that they bought pretty high.
