Imo it fully depends on what you're doing at QB. If Jalen is staying with a new HC then it is going to be closer to a reload. If you decide to move on from the QB as well it is officially a rebuild around a new QB.

Riq, Nola, and Ojomo could potentially net you some serious draft capital as the team goes into what will probably be a 1-2 season (including this one) "take your medicine" reset.

Next year will be the real eat your medicine year on a handful of these contracts. I think it at least allows the FO to really figure out what they truly want on offense and how to properly implement it. Maybe it is just giving Mannion more time and a lot more say, maybe it is all new again.

Aaron Nola is pretty much the Jamie Moyer of this era.

There's no cap and imo I don't see one happening, so just spend money on mid-tier contracts of players who you know are at least solid professionals while still keeping what little youth you have intact.

It's probably going to be more expensive this off-season, but the plan shouldn't be let's go find a mid-20's super star outfielder to save us (would be nice though!). It should be let's get Arozarena and Arraez to round out the top of the lineup and see if you can get into the Japan market via Sato.

I'm a fucking broken record but the Phillies didn't need more star power. They just needed legitimate major leaguers in the 4-6 spots of the lineup instead of praying that the daycare decides to grow up.

Guys like Stott, Crawford, Sosa, Realmuto, and Marsh are fine when they're the bottom third of your lineup. You needed Stott, Marsh, and to a lesser extent Crawford, to be real contributors. That's a shitty plan.

I do not think the Phillies should or could trade Bryce Harper or Kyle Schwarber. The biggest changes they need to make should come from behind the scenes and finding a way to develop real MLB hitters to replace the failed ones in their current lineup

We've pretty much had the same backup catcher (Stubbs) and bench bat (Sosa) since '22. A lot of the roster is different but a lot of the parts that can and do matter are the same.
