Besides our big ticket events with the Foreign & Energy Secretary's and reception, we had amazing events on the NHS & climate resilience, cost of living populism, food security, warm homes, the grid, climate impacts on grassroots sports, reindustrialisation, and much more. We had it all.

Another mega @lcefuk.bsky.social conference programme is done. There was a real buzz around conference this year and it was brilliant - and still slightly surreal - to have climate and environment *physically* at the heart of it with our LCEF Hub.

Great news this morning that the Government is scrapping "aim to permit" - giving local councils more power to stop high street gambling shops (adult gaming centres) from taking over their high streets. We called for exactly that in our recent report on AGCs ⬇️

I know it's not the biggest news of the day, but I just spotted this... One of Keir Starmer's last acts in Govt is this: Laying legislation that will legalise 'plug-in solar' (aka balcony solar) panels in Britain It means plug-in solar panels do not (legally) have to be wired in by an electrician.

Sad to see anti-cycling campaigners Vincent Stops & John Stewart accusing us of some sort of cover up. We've been clear. Falling cycle deaths is good news, but rising numbers of serious injuries shows we've much more to do. Hence our new Vision Zero plan - inc more bike lanes.

Labour is lifting over 6,000 children in Lambeth out of poverty with the removal of the two-child benefit cap. This is the difference a Labour Government can make, working together with a Labour Council in Lambeth and a Labour Mayor in City Hall. Only Labour can tackle the cost of living crisis.
