In this picture there are 3 TV’s, plus a 4th out of view. All of them with the volume on plus the piped music makes the whole waiting area a cacophony. It’s nearly impossible to quietly read and there’s little space to be free of the multiple TVs. Why are so many waiting areas designed like this?

Why is bicycle infrastructure like this just so difficult to do in Norfolk? NYC is has bike lanes like this connecting to entire city. They’re not fancy, just a functional network where you can get most everywhere by bicycle.
