Two cool papers showing that proximity to migrants and exposure to mass migration *do not* lead to overall increases in anti-immigrant sentiment. A common narrative on the center and right is that immigration reduces social cohesion. This and other research (e.g., Hopkins’) suggests otherwise.

The search is open with respect to substantive, methodological, and regional specialization within the field of Comparative Politics. We seek an excellent scholar who employs theory and methodology in the effort to generate new and important empirical findings about substantively interesting questions, and whose teaching and mentorship inspire the next generation of scholars of Comparative Politics.
