I remember trying out a podcast in the pandemic. The host was a prolier-then-thou type who jumped over his guest a IWW member by ranting how it was just a social club. Guest waited for him to finish and then said 'well you know social links are important, you can't build anything without bonds'.

I remember reading the first couple books during the first wave of popularity and was surprised that they were just like all the other books approved for schools in the UK, Enid Blyton famous five style stories just with added magic. Passed on the series, gave the first film a shot, not a fan.

You know whats sad? The best source for ADHD news is the subreddit. I'm not joking, that was where I found out there were reforms and how to find out if my region had a functioning service. Its also been an invaluable resource on which nations I can take medication and the process.

The main reason by far to oppose the trans panic is the safety and dignity of trans people, but also you can't look at the fearmongering over puberty blockers and hormones and not see a connection to the demonization of ADHD medications. What does opposing bodily autonomy get us?

In my area I'm something of a ADHD greybeard. I was diagnosed in 06, great right? I didn't recieve treatment or support of any kind for 18 years. I had to repeatedly demand and argue with one health board to another before I could get enrolled under a ADHD service.

Never before seen footage of the Tiananmen Square massacre. The videos were taken by a Belgian diplomatic couple who lived in a high rise near the square. They documented the massacre and the days leading up to it on a camcorder from their balcony and often talked to the demonstrators in the square.
