I ignored the heavily clickbait title and read the article. Capcom is basically using AI as glorified spellcheck in their programming. Between dropping Mega Man because I realized Inafune is a massive PDF file (look up the changes he insisted be made to Roll in Marvel vs Capcom) and this, I'm done.

I think I'm just gonna avoid F2P idle games from now on. I can't maintain the focus for anything other than keeping whatever simulation/reactor core/mining operation running at peak efficiency. I'm sticking to the 2-25 hour range for incremental games. No more of these 3000+ hr monsters.

You would think a dev who emails me about playing their game would at least have seen enough of my profile to know that I hate GenAI usage in games. This is my response to one of those devs. Seriously, there are people who will volunteer their time if it means a dev won't use AI translations.

I appreciate your email and your offer.

However as long as you use Generative AI tools or LLMs as an assistive tool, even for something as "basic" as translations, I will have to respectfully pass. There are many people who would translate and localize indie projects for a low cost or free, myself included. Please consider looking into one of them next time.

I love Microscape. I think it's been wonderful for Twitch exposure and I know someone who recently did a successful partner push using it as a tool. It's been great for finding new streams, but if I see FrostyTools, Tangla, Embervale, or any kind of GenAI art on your profile, I do not stay around.
