A subtle pale white arch has formed over a large space and valley. The thickness of the fog bow is a bit uneven, but it does show up against a blue sky. Below it is more ground fog on the field, (Laguna Lake Open Space). Underneath the fogbow's center is an electrical tower. Directly above the tower is the fogbow, then the moon (very small). The field is dark umber brown.

A Song Thrush perched upright on a diagonal branch, its long tail extending downward. The bird has warm brown upperparts and a pale cream breast densely marked with bold, dark spots. Its dark eye and pointed bill are sharply defined, while a slender twig and small green leaves partially cross its body. The background is filled with softly blurred green foliage and reddish berry clusters, creating a natural woodland setting.

Today's #BirdOfTheDay is #RecentGardenBirds. Although not exactly recent, this juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) is one of the most interesting birds I've seen in my yard. The bird attacked a toy in the neighbor's yard and wound up with red fake hair in its talons. Not happy. #birds

Gary Grey Heron standing in the bush looking up to see what's making a lot of noise, but it was only Freddie Fulmar with his siren blaring away as he was chasing Percy Puffin for speeding.
Gary wasn't happy about all the noise because it woke him up from his afternoon nap, and he knew that was his sleep over with and he hates waking up before his alarm goes off.
The paparazzi did tell him to grow up which made him even angrier, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Rachel Raven was surveying her patch from high in the bush, but there wasn't much around apart from the stalker with a camera.
When she heard the paparazzi shout up, "who are you calling a stalker", and her reply was "well you are hiding in a bush following me", and there wasn't anything the paparazzi could reply with.
The moral of the story is don't annoy the females 😂

Kamala Kestrel was out looking for food for her hungry brood, when she spotted some of the Little Terns chicks moving around below her. This is something the young ones were told not to do as it's very dangerous for them, but sadly for the little chicks they didn't stand a chance when Kamala swooped down and grabbed one of them while shouting "I'll be back". This was something she picked up from watching her favourite film series "Terminator", even though she was nowhere near his size although she was as lethal.

Rocky Red Kite was out on the prowl, although he wasn't having much luck when the paparazzi spotted him drifting on the thermals.
And every time he circled around, the smaller birds took off in fright then circled around before landing when the coast was clear.
But it wasn't long before Freddie Fulmar was on the scene to clear the scavengers away, making it much safer for the smaller birds to relax.

I didn't think plant lust was the type of passion I would feel, but I'm here for it. My first purple passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) bloom ever, grown in the Inland NW USA. 🌱 #nativeplants (kinda - this continent at least)

A purple passionfruit flower has three clublike stigmas above five anthers and dozens of bright purple filaments with curly tips radiating out from a white pinwheel center. Underneath are a dozen pale purple, concave petals and a bunch of three-tipped green leaves shaped like theropod tracks.
