The north american inland trout creates elaborate burrows in the loamy banks of the Great Lakes. These burrows can extend up to 10 miles outward from the shores. Native american tribes of the region have been known to dig wells or even tunnels to reach these burrows and the fish within.

Wanted a fleshy texture, with more or less realistic-looking blood vessels. Ended up writing a GIMP plugin to procedurally generate veins. Never wrote GIMP plugins before, it was quite an uphill battle, and it's still rather inefficient. The algorithm itself on the other hand is super simple.

4 examples of procedurally-generated images meant to represent veins.

Basically, keep drawing a line while randomly changing the direction by little amounts, keep reducing the line width, and occassionally start new branches by repeating that process and random points of the line in random directions. Do that in opposite directions from a starting point.

I say no to all gen-ai in games, including if it's "just code" Coding IS an artform, it may not be as directly visible as artwork but it's no less deserving of respect for being responsible for the functionality of every game out there without solid coding all your fave games would be dogshit

so in case you're wondering why this is showing up out of nowhere this is twitch using the same tech as the AI stream summary to monitor your stream for you saying this since most people turned off the AI stream summary you can turn this off too by going to Settings -> Stream in your dashboard

a Twitch pop-up window that says "Just say "Twitch, clip that", By using Auto Clips, clips are automatically made by using your stream audio to clip great moments. You can also just say "Twitch, clip that" during stream."
