What is the rate of “false” diagnosis? What is the actual harm done? Especially when the main intervention is “understanding and reasonable adjustments”? Or is this just the transphobic moral panic collecting another set of victims?
Daily Mail front page with the headline “RUSH TO DIAGNOSE AUTISM CAN DAMAGE CHILDREN
As rates soar up to 40-fold, major review warns of toll on those wrongly given label”

I think the Daily Mail is playing games
Screenshot from BBC website:

Headilne: Wes Streeting 'completely wrong' about over-diagnosis, says review author

Picture: ADHD Autism review chair Prof Peter Fonagy in a dark grey suit sitting down in what appears to be an office

Text: The author of today's report, Prof Peter Fonagy, has been speaking to Radio 4's Today programme.

He starts by saying that former Health Secretary Wes Streeting - who first commissioned the review - was "with respect, completely wrong" when he talked about an over-diagnosis of mental health disorders.

His findings show that "there has been a rise in distress and mental ill health amongst young people which is very, very real," he says, noting that one in five cases require treatment.

A senior US Embassy official in occupied al-Quds suppressed and altered reports on Israeli settlements, settler violence, and Palestinian American killings to favor Netanyahu’s government, according to an NYT investigation.

David Milstein, a top aide to Ambassador Mike Huckabee, reportedly blocked a memo warning that record West Bank settlement approvals could violate Trump’s opposition to annexation.

Milstein also reportedly obstructed reports on Israeli authorities’ failure to curb settler violence, while the embassy praised "Israel" for cracking down on attacks.

The investigation found that Milstein suppressed a report on the killings of nine Palestinian Americans by Israeli settlers and security forces, despite congressional demands for accountability.

Since April 2025, Milstein has reportedly tightened control over Palestinian-related diplomatic communications, sharply reducing reports reaching Washington, and effectively shaping US-'Israel' policy.

Former Labour Deputy Leader Lord Thomas Watson, now Senior VP at Palantir UK, wrote to me defending their public contracts. Instead of trading letters, I’ve challenged him to an open, public debate. He can defend Palantir’s ethos; I’ll argue for public accountability. Will you accept, Tom?
Formal letter from Clive Lewis MP, Member of Parliament for Norwich South, to Lord Thomas Watson of Wyre Forest, Senior Vice President of Palantir Technologies UK Limited, dated 7 October 2026. In the letter, Lewis challenges Watson to a public debate regarding Palantir's role in government contracts and public institutions. Lewis rejects Watson's claim that criticisms malign software engineers, stressing that elected officials must scrutinize corporate power, democratic control, and public accountability. He proposes a debate with an impartial chair, equal time, and audience questions.

Close up of fascia layer in the human body. Looks like wispy spider webs. Often likened to the stringy white stuff on chicken breast.
Anyway, it's what connects everything to everything and if you have connective tissue disorder this goes haywire and like the spider is on acid, cocaine, or went on strike.

Anyway. Enjoy the inside of our bodies.
