These took a while to design. I lost my dad eighteen months ago and Father's Day felt like a tough job this year. I got there by thinking about what he gave me. www.gailmyerscough.co.uk/fathers-day-...

Four Father's Day cards laid out in a repeating diagonal grid, each featuring a bold retro illustration on a deep teal background. Designs include a vinyl record player, a Polaroid camera, a bookshelf and a retro teapot with mug. Each card reads "Dad" in large cream lettering with a tagline: "Thanks for playing me the good stuff", "Thanks for developing the best bits", "Thanks for the recommendations" and "Thanks for the brews and chats."

Matt has lost most of his work to AI. If you want a great speech written by a human (not generic AI slop) have a look at his website www.mathew-owen.co.uk Please repost far and wide.

Just joined UK’s Green Party for a few reasons. Starmer himself suggested ppl like me leave the Labour Party when he assumed leadership. Request granted. But the Greens’ recent success & polling (and more importantly their policy goals!) show them to be robust & viable. join.greenparty.org.uk

Thank you email for joining the Green Party

Auschwitz Memorial @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social · 27/01/2026

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

Full Fact seems particularly important right now - there's so much plausible misinformation being put out, it seems an almost impossible task to counter it.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead. This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester
