I took a look at the data on #ME/CFS for Australia. Hospital separations for "G04 Encephalitis, myelitis and encephalomyelitis" have been growing strongly since around 2015. Growth slowed in the early years of the pandemic and then accelerated from 2023 onwards.

Norwegian data: 98% more doctor visits for memory problems and 150% more for concentration problems than the trend before the pandemic.
At the same time, an enormous increase in prescribed heart medications. Even in Sweden.
Precisely the things we know COVID infections cause. Why don't we want to see the connection?

In case of interest: bsky.app/profile/cvce... Of course if only we knew to 'Live Safely with C19' (as per @greenparty.org.uk policy) then communities would already know to use air filters and respirator masks to protect themselves from all airborne harms, including wildfire smoke. Please support.

Today we have written to the Health and Environment Secretaries, backed by 20 experts. UK guidance says shut the windows. But research found smoke in all 23 Manchester homes monitored during July's fires. Don't just tell people to stay inside. Tell them how to stay safe. 1/2
llustration of a semi-detached UK house split into two living rooms, showing that wildfire smoke can enter homes even with windows closed. Both rooms contain a family; the left room is smoky and the right room has clearer air and an air purifier, while a masked man leaves the house. Text reads, “Wildfire smoke doesn't stop at the front door,” with labels “Following UK guidance” and “Following WHO / CDC guidance.” Bottom text notes that smoke entered all 23 monitored Manchester homes in July despite closed windows, and urges people to be told how to stay safe.

T y. Incredibly disappointing given the number of airborne pathogens spreading freely since 'let it rip', which the policy would also mitigate against, but also as @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social asked Qs in the House on behalf of CATA & @carladenyer.bsky.social called briefly for clean indoor air.

France: "Wearing a mask is once again mandatory in Paris hospitals" "Faced with a rapid rise in respiratory infections, several hospitals in the Île-de-France region have decided to reinstate mandatory mask-wearing for healthcare workers, visitors, and patients over the age of 6." archive.li/ZeKtJ
Screenshot of a Doctissimo article titled “Wearing a mask is once again mandatory in Paris hospitals, Dr. Gérald Kierzek explains.” Published November 10, 2025, by health editor Jennifer Bouet. The image shows a female healthcare worker wearing a blue surgical mask and glasses inside a hospital. The caption notes that due to rising respiratory infections, Paris hospitals have reinstated mask mandates for staff and visitors, with Dr. Kierzek explaining that masks remain necessary though not sufficient to resolve the hospital crisis.

Private Eye once again showing the majority of Anglophone media how it's done.
PRIVATE EYE
DONALD TRUMP
AN APOLOGY

IN COMMON with all other media organisations, we may in the past have given the impression that we thought Mr Trump wasa sleazy, deranged, orange-faced man-baby who was a threat to democracy and who should be in jail rather than the White House.
We now realise, in the light of his return to supreme power, that he is in fact a political colossus, the voice of sanity, a champion of liberty, a model of probity and the saviour of the Western world. He is also slim, handsome and young. We would like to apologise unreservedly for any confusion caused by our previous statements and thank President Trump for his kind invitation to give him 94 million pounds to attend his inauguration event.
