Occupy Sandy was one of many things that radicalized me in the 2010s. I saw us being more helpful than NGOs like the Red Cross, government agencies, and Governor Cuomo, who showed up for a photo op at a place that I and dozens of other Occupy Sandy people were doing real work to help people.
