It really does feel like Westminster is at a dead end. Serving the needs of no nation, not even the England that decides its governments. There are few changes so blatantly needed as water ownership in England. Yet not even a "progressive" Labour government will reverse Thatcher's damage.

Amazingly, Brits still talk about "negotiations". There are no negotiations to enter the EU. There are only countries found to meet membership conditions, as confirmed by the EC and approved by all MS. Conditions are set in 35 acquis chapters, progress of alignment with monitored by the EC annually.

The framing of Lismor as a 'tiny' remote island misunderstands that if you're zipping about the Firth of Lorn / inner Hebrides in a galley it's the centre of the world. Add that the limestone outcrops make it some of the best pasture in that part of the world and you've got a very des res indeed.

Either it’s a voluntary union, with its members having their own rights to self-determination, at any point or points of their choosing, or it isn’t. If it isn’t, it is an involuntary one where the largest member decides on their behalf. London denies Scotland that right, so it is the second.
