A great analysis from a friend on FB. A real critique of JKR, and totes justifiable. IMO Rowling has quite possibly done more to harm the human rights of women and girls than anyone.

When people refer to J.K. Rowling as a 'women's rights campaigner, they are not wrong. She campaigns for the erosion of women's rights. The lives of women and girls are worse now than when she started putting her money into anti-trans court cases. With the recent IOC announcement making it mandatory that all female athletes must now be 'sex tested', the rot has run deeper.
You see, no trans women will be tested. Why?
Because no trans women are competing at that level. The only women suffering the
consequences of this ban are female athletes. If you bother to look at how we got here, it all started with J.K. Rowling and her money. She is not a hero; she is, quite literally, the villain. And she is supported by the same corrupt media that promotes hate and division, and by our fragile politicians who rely on donations from the same media moguls-and yes, Rowling herself.
