The planet isn't "dying" of natural causes. Forests don't just disappear. They are logged. Oceans don't just choke. They are polluted. Rivers don't just dry up. They are diverted. This is not a tragedy. It's ecocide. And ecocide should be a crime. #StopEcocide

I will not only be relieved but truly *ecstatic* to be wrong, if more and better studies soon start showing that AI actually improves learning and cognitive motivation. But so far they all show the opposite, and that is consistent with the evidence that I and other educators are seeing on the ground

For 14yrs, the Tories cratered our economy, added thousands to our cost of living, melted down public services and brexited us into decades of eye-watering expense and lost opportunity. That’s still their plan. With tax breaks for the super rich paid for by welfare cuts. So what TF is this headline?

While rightwing media nods approvingly at the prejudiced outcry in Piddington, a RNLI station has to close because of white British thuggery and threats. This is where the constantly toxic obsession with immigration leads. To racist, flag-wielding vigilantism that ruins this country for everyone.

So, to implement their vengefully racist social housing plan, Reform would tear up our Brexit deal, huff out of the ECHR and scrap the Equality Act. As diminishing returns go, it can’t get any more diminished. Seriously voters, this is insane. (Ps British “expats” are migrants too) (iPaper)
How Farage's migrant housing ban risks hitting British expats
• Experts have warned that Nigel Farage's plans to prioritise British-born people for social housing could spark a trade war with the EU - and end up hurting British expats.
• The Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford said that the policy would breach the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement. Brussels could respond by suspending elements of the UK's trade deal with the bloc, creating complications for Brits living in the EU.
• Reform UK's plan would likely fall foul of the Equality Act and the European Convention on Human Rights - both of which the party has previously vowed to scrap.
