I had the original NES game when I was in elementary school. I have fond memories of it. The only mainline game I haven't played at least part of is XI, and that's just because I really don't want to play a super archaic MMO just for the story.

For fanfic purposes everyone is whatever orientation makes sense in that specific story. In WoL!Azer'li's canon, Y'shtola is demisexual, Thancred thought he was straight until suddenly he wasn't, and Urianger refuses to conform (still uses he/him because friends misgendering him in cs is jarring.)

I have one in-game, Azer'li, although there's three different canons for him (MSQ, in-game RP, and a side RP where he's one of the background Scions. He's only the Heir of Azem in MSQ canon.) He's gotten a lot more fleshed out lately! I have two other OCs that don't exist in game.... (c)

No. Azer'li is only a couple of years older than the twins (he's not time bubbled, though, so he's like 22 for Dawntrail.) Urianger is entirely too old to be of interest. WoL!Azer'li decided on his own that he was dating G'raha, who is not my favorite NPC. (I don't dislike him, though. He's okay.)

Azer'li wasn't supposed to exist permanently. When I started playing, you needed to buy HW to make an Au Ra, but I didn't know if I was going to like the game. I also knew about the free Phantasia at 50. I got attached before I bought Heavensward. Used the Phantasia to adjust his tail.

I like my Elidibus/Urianger, but at this point I don't think there's any real canon backing, I just think it's neat (and have a couple of AUs, but no direct lorebending.) I'm still bummed that Urianger didn't really get to do much to foil him in 5.2-3, but he was busy with Eden, I guess?

while i have ffxiv on the brain. the original concept for zodiark - the elder primal known as gaia - was SO much cooler than what we got. like zodiark's base design is lacking sauce. gaia has SO much sauce.

Azer'li is a young, male, probably demisexual Keeper with culturally induced Trauma that he's barely started to work through. (It's not the only reason why he left the Twelveswood, but it's a reason.) He probably has cuddled with G'raha in the same bed, but that's *literally* sleeping with him.

There's significant overlap between Azer'li's canon job (Tactician ACN) and pre-EW Alphinaud's Academician ACN. There were without question carbuncle playdates. Tactician is more focused on damage prevention/crowd control compared to Academician healing, and Azer'li's Sapphire Carbuncle can tank.

Adding Alt-Text

The GOP's new Voter Suppression Bill (deceptively called the "SAVE Act") would:

1. Require that election officials conduct ongoing voter purges using info from the DHS, SSA. or other agencies & "databases" that profess to confirm citizenship, with no penalty for the many thousands of mistakes that GOP officials typically make when conducting voter purges.

2. Require that everyone registering to vote or changing their registration (or re-registering after a faulty voter purge) prove their citizenship in person with approved documentation (eg, a passport or certified birth certificate, which up to 21 million citizens don't have).

3. Disenfranchise many of the 69 million married women whose last names don't match their birth certificates (because the bill doesn't list marriage certificates as approved documents).

4. Subject any election official to criminal penalties (a fine or up to 5 years in prison) & citizen lawsuits for inadvertently registering a single voter without approved documentation, even if the voter is a citizen.

My theory is that they missed some redactions on purpose. There are people working hard to archive the files in ways the government can't touch, like BitTorrent magnet shares. If hosting the Epstein files is a felony because it makes you a CSAM distributor, no one can host them safely.

I read sometime saying that generative AI can't create a childrens' alphabet poster. I have Copilot at work and had some downtime, so I decided to try it and the results are comedy gold. (This is why human artists are better.)

Azer'li is a red mage in-game because I rolled Arcanist to have a pocket tank, then midway through post-ARR the carbuncles became untargetable and my self-heal became useless as I moved into level 50 gear. Canonically....
