Easier to lean into anti-immigration than to actually solve our problems. Give it a few years until we have far more restrictive immigration policy and housing/health crises just get worse. Who will be the scapegoat then? Surprise. Still immigrants. It's a bottomless pit of hate.

A little insight into youth work in Ireland: the best youth worker I've ever worked with is soon taking up a non-youth work job, because the youth work pay is so bad, & the job is now flooded with endless admin due to reporting demands from funders. This is a frequent occurrence. A constant one.

Monthly notification on how few women have represented Limerick in the Dáil (0 in County, 2 in City). I was going to do the amount of years women have sat in the Dáil compared to men but the men quickly reached into the hundreds and I got sad.
