Years ago we had the mayor bike to school with my 6 year old, within the first :30 seconds they were almost hit by a driver on live TV. Every leader should be required to ride a bike (if able) with a 6 year old before they provide any direction on bike infrastructure.

The perfect bike stand. The Sheffield stand is already great as it provides locking points at front and back. But its flaw is if it's removed from the ground due you can just slip the locks off the bottom. This fixes that with a bar. Now, a thief would have to steal your bike *and* the stand.

There should be a mandatory minimum charge on every public car park based on environmental grounds. We did something similar in the UK with a minimum charge for plastic bags and it changed behaviours.

26 years until the UK has to switch off the natural gas network. Sounds like a long time, but it really isn't. To meet that target, 840,000 homes need to come off gas every year. To put that in perspective, just 40,000 heat pumps were installed in 2023. That's a massive gap.
