Greetings from camping! I am using the two bars of service that I have to say how lucky we are to still be doing fandom-wide projects like this 4+ years on. In my mind season three has enough kisses to keep us busy for 20 years because we deserve it. 😌 My contributions, 111 & 138 #OFMD #OFMDfanart

Frame 111: digital drawing of Stede pressing Ed against the wall and kissing him so hard that their faces are just flat planes. Ed is tightly gripping the back of Stede's neck and lower back while Stede is mid motion to grab for Ed, his stubby arm forming a claw like a baby tyrannosaurus rex. Warm, golden candlelight lights the scene, heightening the intimacy.

Frame 138: digital drawing of Ed, silhouetted on the left side of the frame against the slanted windows of the bed nook in the captain's cabin. He looks to the right where Stede's right arm is only just entering the frame. Bright purple light glows from outside while the little detail that you can see inside the room is lit in deep gold and orange. This frame has a much more stylized, flat grungy finish than the previous one.

I got over my fear of not being good enough at art and to contribute a frame that I ended up being really proud of! Thank you @gelatinousstand.bsky.social for all your hard work putting this together!

A pencil drawing of Ed sitting on the bed and Stede beginning to draw the curtains closed from OFMD Calypso's Birthday. Stede's torso is in frame, though you can only see to just above his chin. He has a red heart drawn where he was injured by Ned Low. The one arm in frame is bent and reaching up to hold the edge of a purple curtain. Ed is sitting behind him, his face framed by Stede's bent arm. He is looking at Stede with purple heart eyes. The background is large stripes of green, blue, and purple watercolour pencils blended, and there are cut outs of glittery silver hearts surrounding them.

I have two frames in this project! The first one was a blurry little bastard so I decided to lean into that with an ephemeral, fleeting time sort of vibe. Every moment only lasts an instant. The second one I committed to maximum emotional devastation and I was SO happy with how this came out 😂😌

A frame from the La Vie en Frames project, showing the cabin clearly in the background, with Stede pushing Ed across the room. Both Ed and Stede are wispy and blurry, distinguishable, but the moment is already evaporating into memory

Ed and Stede finally get to kiss, but I decided to be mean about it, so it’s Ed’s glove-clad hand shoving the two wedding toppers together, imagining this moment

here's mine, number 136. i didn't keep track of how long it took, but if i had to guess i'd say somewhere between 40 to 60 hours 🥴

photo of my embroidered frame for the la vie en frames project. it's ed silhouetted against the windows with lots of swirly purple light, getting ready for an emotionally fraught dicking down. how do i begin to describe this? there are a million little stitches all coming together to create the image. the light through the windowpanes looks kinda swirly van gogh style. the curtains have the illusion of translucency. my favourite bit is the shadow of the windowframe on the sill beneath, and the soft curly highlights at the back of ed's hair

I had frames 86, 104, and 168 🎆

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. Stede and Ed stand facing each other, looking into one another's eyes. Stede grips Ed by the lapels of his leather jacket, and Ed holds Stede by the shoulders. The colors are rich and warm, and the lighting resembles a candlelit room. The air around them sparkles.

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. Ed and Stede are kissing, locked in a passionate embrace, visible from the waist up. The scene is drawn in a film noir style. It's black and white. Stede wears a trench coat and fedora, and Ed is dressed in a black gown, a flower in his hair. They tucked in a corner between buildings on a city street. Headlights, tall buildings, and a neon sign reading "Jackie'z" are visible in the background.

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. This is a painting of Stede closing the curtain around his bed nook. His naked torso is visible through gauzy, sparkly curtains. The scene is backlit by the glow of fireworks through a large, arched window.

Frame projects are one of my favourite parts of this fandom - so much gorgeous art 💖 I really want to try embroidery after seeing some of the frames. Here’s my frame - I’m really proud of this one and how my art has improved in the last two years.

A frame from La Vie En Frames, showing Ed against the wall with Stede holding onto his lapels. The frame is drawn in mostly brown shades.

An embroidered still from OFMD 2.6. Stede is grabbing Ed by his jacket. Stede is turquoise and Ed is purple. They are surrounded by a riot of insane foliage, both leaves and flowers. The are a few wooden butterfly charms and many plants have beaded details.

I’m so glad I got to hop onto this frame project last minute. I think it’s my favorite we’ve done. I decided to do a mixed media collage for frame #60!

A collage of magazine, postcard, program, panflit, newspaper clippings and rhinestones.
Stede Bonnet is on the left hrabbing Ed Teach’s (right) lapels and going in for a kiss. They are both outlined in rhinestones.
The background has several colorful magazine clippings inclusing flowers, leaves, cherries, a candied orange slice, a cathedral, a rhinestoned pickle, and a seahorse

Ed Teach in the bed nook watching fireworks from Calypsos Birthday episode of OFMD. I've recreated the scene out of purple, pink and blue cardstock with Ed in black silhouette. Out the windows you see a kraken tentacles and some colorful fireworks from LED candles

Wanted to give it a few days before bumping with the final art of this story, but here it is 🥹 The happiest possible ending, combined with all the other joy in this final chapter - I cried bunches when I first read it. This art was one of the first concepts I made for the story, too.

A pair of male flamingos respectively standing and sitting beside their mud nest, heads leaning together peacefully, while their fluffy grey chick reaches up with both wings outstretched, squawking in pure chaos.
