31k Stede whump/hc, pls clap 😤 It's the most indulgent thing I've written in ages, and I'm very proud of that. Also omegaverse, but no sex, just desperate cuddling. It's Stede being sad and Ed fixing it with a steampunk, sky cruise background 😌 Also featuring @tabbystardust.bsky.social art! 😍

Jeff the Affable Steward has spent the past few weeks working on a sleek, state of the art, steam-powered cruise ship that can sail through both air and sea. Jeff the Affable Stewart definitely isn't Blackbeard, notorious Alpha Pirate Captain in disguise, getting intel on all the high-class passengers onboard. Certainly not! And he certainly doesn't have a thing for his fellow crew mate Thomas, the out-of-his-depth but enthusiastic omega working down in towels.

Whatever is or isn't happening on the ship, Ed will have to figure it out fast. Ed's time on the Dawn Star is running out, with Sky Fleet soldiers searching for a fugitive at the behest of an angry lord, his own first mate demanding he gets found out, and Thomas himself, hiding a secret that threatens to drag them all under.

I have two frames in this project! The first one was a blurry little bastard so I decided to lean into that with an ephemeral, fleeting time sort of vibe. Every moment only lasts an instant. The second one I committed to maximum emotional devastation and I was SO happy with how this came out 😂😌

A frame from the La Vie en Frames project, showing the cabin clearly in the background, with Stede pushing Ed across the room. Both Ed and Stede are wispy and blurry, distinguishable, but the moment is already evaporating into memory

Ed and Stede finally get to kiss, but I decided to be mean about it, so it’s Ed’s glove-clad hand shoving the two wedding toppers together, imagining this moment

A photo of a beaded piece of art depicting a frame from OFMD, s2e6. Stede is shirtless and pulling the drapes across on his bed nook whilst Ed is sitting on the bed and looking towards him lovingly. Stede, Ed, the bed and windows are all made from various beads in pinks and golds.

here's mine, number 136. i didn't keep track of how long it took, but if i had to guess i'd say somewhere between 40 to 60 hours 🥴

photo of my embroidered frame for the la vie en frames project. it's ed silhouetted against the windows with lots of swirly purple light, getting ready for an emotionally fraught dicking down. how do i begin to describe this? there are a million little stitches all coming together to create the image. the light through the windowpanes looks kinda swirly van gogh style. the curtains have the illusion of translucency. my favourite bit is the shadow of the windowframe on the sill beneath, and the soft curly highlights at the back of ed's hair

An embroidered Ed and Stede kissing against the wall. Behind Stede are shelves containing a stun whale, petrified orange, teacups, four letters in bottles, a set of books spelling out LOVE, and a stolen fern.

Behind Ed is an idealized vision of their inn from the finale of the show.

These are my favorite thing, everyone’s art is spectacular 🎇🎆🎇🎆🎇

Two digital drawings of ofmd frames.

First is a black and white illustration of stede bonnet and Ed teach, they are standing in the doorway of the captains cabin, Stede is grabbing Ed’s jacket and being to twirl him around. Ed is surprised and bringing his arm up to stedes elbow, Stede has a sad/desperate expression. The paintings on the walls behind them are depicting important moments between them .

The second is a painting of stede closing the curtains in the bed nook, his chest is visible with his arms lifted up, the curtains are sheer and shimmery. The window behind him is glowing bright light and Ed is slightly visible sitting on the bed on the left

ed teach is sitting in stede's bed nook by the windows. he is mostly in shadow and his face is seen in silhouette. ed's hair is highlighted in fiery colors. stede is to the right, mostly out of frame, tho his shoulder, arm, and part of his chest are visible. ed and stede both have glowing, fire-like auras around them with floating embers. between them, there is a floating, fiery heart. flames emanating from both ed and stede are flowing into the heart.

In a dark room, Ed embraces Stede and they kiss. Ed is in all white, including his hair, and sports a red and blue ring. An angel wing stands at attention behind him. Stede is in all black. In fact, he is a star-being, face sparkling with pinpricks of light. They are framed by a large compact disc (CD) that filters in a rainbow. An assortment of musical notes surround them. An embroidery on dark blu marbled fabric that kind of looks like a stormy night sky. It shows ed sitting on the bed in the nook on the Revenge with the windows behind him. He is looking at Stede who's naked torso we can see as he reaches for the curtain. The windows are illuminated in the Bi flag colours with gold streaks of fireworks. Stede is worked in swirls of pink with teal and orange. There is a pierced heart tattoo on his chest with Ed's name. There are stars all around.

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. Stede and Ed stand facing each other, looking into one another's eyes. Stede grips Ed by the lapels of his leather jacket, and Ed holds Stede by the shoulders. The colors are rich and warm, and the lighting resembles a candlelit room. The air around them sparkles.

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. Ed and Stede are kissing, locked in a passionate embrace, visible from the waist up. The scene is drawn in a film noir style. It's black and white. Stede wears a trench coat and fedora, and Ed is dressed in a black gown, a flower in his hair. They tucked in a corner between buildings on a city street. Headlights, tall buildings, and a neon sign reading "Jackie'z" are visible in the background.

A screencap from OFMD S2E6, Calypso's Birthday. This is a painting of Stede closing the curtain around his bed nook. His naked torso is visible through gauzy, sparkly curtains. The scene is backlit by the glow of fireworks through a large, arched window.
