You can still export your own runs if you want. But runners who quit or are in other ways unable to export their data are stuck on src forever. Huge part of speedrunning history now lives on one platform, under that one platform's terms. This is unacceptable

The cluelessness of this reminds me a lot of the NFT grift. The thing about NFTs was that it was mainly something finance bros were into, and when they were trying to worm their way into gaming, their pitches were an abyssal trench of bad ideas because they couldn't grasp why people played games.

And I get the same vibe from AI proponents; They simply don't understand art, and think it's beneath them. They don't understand the appeal, they come from a techbro mindset and think art is a solved equation and anything that isn't photorealistic or extremely high detail is failing at the goal.

People tend to think of functional illiteracy as just being unable to read words aloud or such. What it *really* means is such as not being able to perceive subtext, context, understand who the audience of something may be, etc. Media illiteracy is fundamentally part of functional illiteracy.

This is so important. Yes, humor can be a coping mechanism. It's okay to laugh about your struggles. But it's also very real that we can't or don't want to always do that and it is devastating when people tell us to "be more positive" and "don't take yourself so seriously!".

Weiß nicht ob das dein Problem ist aber ich hatte oft das Problem, dass ich meinen Wecker ausgemacht hab und wieder eingeschlafen bin und mich danach nicht dran erinnert hab. Einzige was bei mir geholfen hat ist mein Handy wirklich so weit weg zu legen, dass ich aufstehen muss um ran zu kommen.
