My headcanon on @ascalaphid.com ‘s “Brother” “Ignatz”

1 page comic sketch. A bittern who seems to have recently put on a monk’s robes for the first time says “y’know, these robes are rather comfy. Now… to find a monastery where I can *lay low* for a while” as he scrunches up his long neck. He sees a monastery conveniently placed on a nearby hilltop!
As the bittern approaches, he sees a shrew monk snacking on something from a pouch. The shrew opens his arms wide, proclaiming “Ah, Brother! Welcome to our humble monastery! What is your name?”
The bittern stutters, “I…” and notices the snack pouch in the shrew’s claws is labeled “GNATS” “Ignatz.” He says, “with a z”.
“What a lovely, *honest* name*” the shrew replies. “Please, Brother Ignatz, come in!”
