My hot take is that fandoms have always been a majority of nice people with a subset of absolutely rancid, judgemental arseholes that never got bigger, just louder, but because platforms learned that arguments drive engagement and therefore you see more ads, they tailored algorithms towards that

So, in fact, the bill did nothing to improve affordability.

Now, to the current situation. New apartment buildings have shaken the rental market, as the city has overbuilt.

Many of the new buildings are offering as much as three months free rent in an effort to lure new tenants.

Investors who own older buildings are forced to lower rents and eat three months or more rent in order to rent their properties, and rental rates have fallen. If they have mortgages, they are in trouble.
