Developers of LIHTC properties are generally giddy over proposed increase & changes to LIHTC in House resolution. By itself, it's good to have more LIHTC $$. But if LIHTC tenants get hit w/Medicaid & SNAP cuts, many tenants will have trouble paying rent & that could destabilize LIHTC properties.

Crucial reporting from @thecity.nyc NYCHA accounts for an outsized share of federal public housing funding. Other public housing agencies (like those in Chicago, Denver, LA) demolished their stock, while we didn't. So, if the feds want to screw with the city, NYCHA is a prime target.

When I say housing insecurity is increasingly a middle-class crisis, this is what I mean: Soaring rents have made a family of three earning $50,000 to $110,000 a year—two to five times above the poverty level—nearly as likely to face eviction in NYC as the city’s lowest-income residents.
