Cod in parsley sauce is definitely under rated and dead easy to make at home. I might have to re-consider what is important in life.

When you really think about it, there are only 2 universally loved people. David Attenborough Dolly Parton And we lost one today. It's kinda heartbreaking.

If people are posting less, or fewer are posting, try following more people to fill your timeline up. It's highly unlikely that you already followed all the people you will like. Repost more. Recommend people to others more. Also over follow as this helps others find their people.

Everybody is talking about the partial solar eclipse in the UK and giving advice on how to safely look at it. Sounds terribly exciting but did we all forget that the advice has not changed since the last partial eclipse which was last March?

Anybody interested in cooking, especially with one pot in a tiny kitchen, could do a lot worse than checking out this guy on his boat. I tried this recipe and he isn't lying when he says it is restaurant quality. Give him a sub to help him spread the word if you can. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPkr...

Why do the BBC frame this as if the violence is related to a stabbing. If it were related then there would have been riots for the other couple of hundred stabbings in Belfast last year.

I feel sorry for Amazon. They have so few resources, they needed to put adverts on prime video movies and shows in order to "continue investing in compelling content". It must be a real struggle for them and I for one, admire their dedication to the cause of providing compelling content.

Ads? Never on Kagi 😎
Two-panel comic comparing search experiences. Top panel "HOW IT IS...": A stick figure on one cliff edge is separated from "THE THING" (their search goal) on the opposite cliff by a chasm filled with ads, sponsored results, data mining, and unwanted content. Bottom panel "HOW IT SHOULD BE.": A bridge now connects the cliffs, allowing direct access to the search goal while bypassing the obstacles.

So we pay extra for a bit of kit like a heat pump or a fridge because it has an app that can control its functions. They then change the terms for that app at a later date and don't let you use the app until you accept the new terms. How come we all started to accept this behavior from companies?

In the late 19th century, millions of migrants left Germany as a result of religious persecution, economic hardship, and political uncertainty. Among them was Nikolaus Schrod, a cabinet maker from Frankfurt who - along with his wife Bina - moved to London to start a new life in the 1850s. 1/3

I have become an evangelist for veggies from farm shops simply because I am new to it but if you can, buy your veggies at a farm shop. Cauliflowers as big as your head and carrots that taste like a carrot fruit. I now realise how bad food from supermarkets is (apart from Hellmann's mayonaise)

The mathematician John Venn was born on this day in 1834. To commemorate the occasion, here’s a poem in the form of a Venn diagram.
Poem title: At the Intersection

The poem is divided into two overlapping circles.

The left-hand circle is titled ‘me’ and the text reads:
the day we
went out to have
an ice-cream, we said nothing
just let our silence melt in
the air as we walked across the common
our love never tiring at all

The right-hand circle is titled ‘you’ and the text reads:
we should
have talked it over but
nothing ever seems to get
in your fat head. You are so
common that I wish we’d never met
at all and I’d married Tim instead

In the intersection of the poem (where the two circles overlap), the text reads:
we
have
nothing
in
common
at all

You have choices and high quality options available. You don't have to accept an ad-infested experience, use AI you can't control or settle for mediocre or incorrect results. It's harmful to the web, compromises your privacy, and makes it difficult to find relevant information by humans.
