There's no political benefit to closing subway stops because New Yorkers value close proximity to stops, but if you wanted to close any stops, it wouldn't be along the L. It would be some of the 1 train stops that are much too close together and you can distribute riders to lesser used stations.

Someone decided to jump in elevator at work (subway station) and sent it below level of floor, took 3 hours to fix the problem (so approximately 5000 people were inconvenienced and had to travel extra half mile to use next available elevator) and that’s why I try to not interact with customers.

It baffles me when businesses view wheelchair users as third-rate tagalongs and not as valuable customers who often love to shop, tip very generously, and simply want to be treated with the same level of decency and have access to come and spend our money at your business like any other customer.

As a disabled person, I have met disability advocates, those who share knowledge with others, accessibility advocates, those who raise awareness, and those who share their lives to make others with disabilities feel less alone. I have not, however, ever met a single “sickfluencer.”
