Have been shepherding my beloved parents through some tough times for the last 4 months and we do a lot of texting. They are a young 76 and can tech enough. Voice calls are reserved for true emergencies. But the texts have carried heavy things too.

Drove south for the holidays and it was shocking to see Lake Shasta almost to full to the tree line and the San Joaquin was GREEN. Like fields with the happiest cows I have seen in ages. Have driven the I-5 corridor for almost 20 years. Never has it been GREEN.
