There can’t be any gun restrictions because we have to protect against federal government tyranny, and if kids get shot we just have to live with it. Also the President can send troops to cities because the federal government can do whatever it wants. These two ideas are consistent and reasonable.

Israel's Greek Ambassador accused Athens of allowing antisemitic graffiti. Mayor's reply: "We do not accept lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians…the Amb. focuses solely on graffiti (which, obviously, is being removed) at a time when an unprecedented genocide is taking place in Gaza."

“We do not accept lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians. Athens, the capital of a democratic country, fully respects its visitors and upholds the right of its citizens to free expression. As the city’s municipal authority, we have proven our active opposition to violence and racism,” Doukas said.

“We do not accept lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians and children waiting in line for food aid, from those who lead dozens of people to death every day in Gaza, through bombs, hunger, and thirst,” he added.

Furthermore, the mayor criticized the ambassador’s focus on graffiti.

“It is appalling that the Ambassador focuses solely on graffiti (which, obviously, is being removed) at a time when an unprecedented genocide is taking place in Gaza,” he said, adding that Golden Visas granted to Israeli citizens have increased by over 90%.

Ambassador Katz had criticized Athens municipal authorities in an interview published in Kathimerini’s Sunday edition, accusing them of failing to respond effectively to antisemitic graffiti that makes Israelis in Athens uncomfortable.
