You can basically break this down into "elections Donald Trump ran in" and "all other elections." For whatever reason, ppl on here keep ptsding themselves (and political news media keeps wishcasting) into thinking that a non-Trump election is going to act like a Trump one

Cornell 7 case puts a spotlight on fraternity misconduct – and the limits of universities’ power to stop it
While universities can suspend and expel students for committing sexual violence and other kinds of illegal misconduct, they face logistical and financial limits to preventing such behavior.

Inverse optimization seeks to recover the parameters of an optimization problem from observed solutions. When the objective depends linearly on these parameters, the gap loss is convex, yielding a convex formulation. Inverse optimal transport is one example. www.gpeyre.com/blog/2026/10...

One paradox of Rust (at least from my POV) is that it has three great advantages: - tons of great commands, - supported WebAssembly from the start, - automatic dependency management. But each time I compile a command into WebAssembly, I run into a dependency that does not support "wasm".

Nicolas Holzschuch @nholzschuch.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Yeah rust is great and it has explicit error messages, until you reach the point where you do what the error message said you should do and the error message persists. And then there's absolutely no help available.

In 1719, the Scottish monk Sigbert de
Gembloux reported seeing the island, as did Don Matea Dacesta, mayor of Valverde, El Hierro in 1721. As a result of these sightings, that same year Juan de Mur y Aguerre, military governor of the Canary Islands, appointed a new commission of inquiry under Gaspar Dominguez, a sea captain; no fresh evidence was uncovered and subsequently interest waned. According to the Canary historian Ramirez, in 1723 a priest performed the rite of exorcism towards the island during one of its apparitions behind a low cloud. This was witnessed by a large number of persons and sworn to on affidavit.

#ESR La rédaction d' @academia.hypotheses.or est lasse.
