Rumours of sledgehammer taking over #halo makes sense. They don't have an IP within call of duty, I don't think they can pull off a reboot and don't think current management within Activision can figure halo out. I have zero trust it can be done and working out. Not hard to see them having a go.

Focus on AI should be on dangers it has at the moment not the future. I do think generalist models are going disappointed and disappear we should have focused specialist ones you know like how machine learning used to be. My gut tells me it about guarding a monopoly with certain companies.

Another track seems be created with somebody who does puppet videos. Made a full version yet others have borrowed it and I assume other songs for the money. Slop is here. Biggest problem for streaming companies I guess is letting the slop crowd out artists and making music artists didn't do.

Was listening to video it had a track from Native Echo. As far I can tell it computer generated or AI. Everything seems artificial cover art and mix of genres on main profile. Nothing about original artist seems to have come from nowhere. It reminded me of another song which had similar patterns.

Similar to other parties they don't understand who votes for them and imagines a different voter. I don't think they care. I'm worried they want power and to keep it.

Perhaps they can survive as a studio and become quicker in turning around content more focused on what they are doing. I do think this means more resources for destiny and marathon getting a revamp come march if players hold up.

Importantly they said important bits of destiny 2 are returning campaigns and raids. Going be interesting what comes back. And how long until it does. I have such low hopes here. Assuming they working on destiny 3 at some point.

So many questions really #bungie if had to guess new management, looking at the player numbers and plan restore vaulted content to #destiny 2 considering how game works. #Marathon on other hand they have admitted it in trouble and want change direction still think it fails. Good luck bungie

Lots of talk of growth ahead of the Budget, as if it were a baroque puzzle. Our problem is basic. It's that we no longer support the things which facilitate growth: Europe, immigration, higher education, tax simplification, policy stability. These are all choices and could stop making them anytime.

I don't think we disdain the center-right enough. First, they rode nativist populist tigers to power to get their tax cuts and deregulation; Then, they lost control of their own parties to those tigers; Now, they sit in lucrative jobs as columnists writing about how it's all the left's fault.

Consequence of 7 million missing homes and parents blocking of house building. I remember talking to family friend decade ago about social care and failure to build on prices. What the results was. She smiled and saw passion in my eyes, until we're willing make the argument we are stuck here.

Been thinking about this bit of the von der Leyden speech since yesterday. I think she may well be right. Or at least, she isn’t obviously wrong despite some of the sneering from US tech types. ec.europa.eu/commission/p...
By limiting the risks of AI, we can maximise the benefits. We have already done a lot. On gigafactories and tech sovereignty, for example. But the next leg of this race is not only about frontier models. Just as was the case with the printing press in times gone by. It was invented by a German inventor, but was mastered and applied across Western Europe.

We do not need to be the ones who develop the frontier technology to be the ones who draw the greatest value from it. The key is creating the value that AI has not yet delivered. Moving AI from the screen to the real economy and society. On the factory floor. On the hospital ward. In precision agriculture. In our energy grids. Smart grids. For autonomous driving. For defence.

This is where the real value is hidden. And it is where Europe has big advantages. We have world-class industries that sit on the highest-quality data. These data are a precious European treasure. They are what can power tailor-made industrial AI models.

This was really good as a listen. @sturdyalex.bsky.social point on British treating politics as pass time and something we only have to engage every once in a while was really good. Perhaps it due local government not being professional and disconnect due how central of power so distance.

Iran understood how gardening works Americans and Israel didn't get it. Seems a couple in region learnt wrong lessons and now find themselves in trouble. My worry is dragging more into this mess and each having it own demands. Failing to understand it opponents. As always production, logistics wins

Maybe I'm wrong but I do think more investment is needed and higher spending on certain areas with taxes to keep inflation stable and get productivity higher. Good example is digital labels in stores. Also need companies to train and invest in robots take risks. Right now nobody wants to do that.

I would love to ask him how NHS and courts repair backlog being £50 billion is a good thing. When causes appointments cancelled. Problem UK has is underinvestment going back decades and not enough tax revenue. Fix that borrowing costs would be more stable. Unless he means cut spending as tax breaks

If I had to guess we see it being sunset in March 2027. Not 6 months I originally gave #marathon but 1 year and month after launch. We been here before with slowing updates. Irony is destiny 2 has significantly more players at the moment and that was sun set.

I don't know how much longer the game can carry on. Right now seems be in serious trouble with playerbase that declining. I do feel for Devs who seem be trying. #marathon we wait and see but things don't look good.

Seems layoffs over at #bungie hurt it quite a bit #marathon update for August/September now is coming in December. Season 3 and moving away from seasonal model, with an update planned in march. My guess is poor management mixed with player numbers means hard to justify. Doesn't look good.

NEW Why holding a placard is a terrorist act, while causing disruption in a balaclava is not The mess caused by ministers and the police not taking terrorism law seriously By me at @prospectmagazine.co.uk www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/law/th...

Recent events in England now reveal the practical difference between terrorists and protesters. It would seem that terrorists peacefully hold placards and get immediately arrested, while protesters wear black uniforms and balaclavas and disrupt infrastructure and do not get arrested.

How did we get into this mess? How have we placed ourselves in the position where terrorism legislation is used to detain and prosecute peaceful protesters, while those adopting the terror tactics of private armies seem to be free to do as they wish?

The reason is that for some time British politicians have not taken terrorism legislation seriously, and that ministers have got into the habit of misusing terror laws for easy targets.
