Get off the beaten path and be a “traveler not a tourist” in beautiful Plopsheim. It’s just down the road from Hipsheim so when you have checked off all the Plobsheim highlights (give yourself plenty of time), it’s wonders also await.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

The first ‘Copilot’ got coded by a guy at GitHub. Then he got handcuffed by cops for strangling a woman Turns out she wasn’t the first he dated and strangled. Others posted their experience Alex Graveley is his name. He now works at UFO.ai See (1) his face (2) arrest warrant (3) thread on Copilot
Mugshot of Alex (Balabhadra) GraveleyArrest Warrant for Assault Strangulation.

Here is the graphic description:

Balabhadra pushed [] onto the bed and she stated that she was on her back and Balabhadra got on top of her with his knees holding down her shoulders.
[] said that Balabhadra was squeezing her neck with both of his hands and causing her pain. [] said that the pressured used by Balabhadra was impairing her breathing and she could not breathe for a couple of seconds. [] told officers that she was able to get Balabhadra off of her by hitting and scratching him.

[] stated that after she broke free from Balabhadra they began arguing again in the hallway and Balabhadra grabbed her throat again with both hands and he began squeezing. [] told officers that they were facing each other and the pressure that Balabhadra was applying to her neck was hurting her and making it difficult to breathe. [] was eventually able to break free and she ran into a room downstairs.

When [] went into the downstairs bedroom Balabhadra followed her like before and he used his knees to hold her shoulders down. Balabhadra started to squeeze []’s neck again with both hands, and she was crying. Balabhadra eventually stoped and left the house.

[] told officers she has pain on her throat, jaw, and shoulders. A thread on YCombinator.com on Alex Graveley’s early work on Copilot.

I work on Copilot now, and I can say this guy is totally full of himself. Just because he contributed to the first prototype does not entitle him to claim creation. He wasn't even the first person inside Microsoft to use LLMs in an IDE completion experience. The work from prototype to product is an order of magnitude more than prototype alone.

Orilly? We had no PM, EM, or designer: I played all those roles for 1.5 years.
I was one of the first to touch the OAI code model. Me and Albert developed the in-the-wild testing harness still in use today. We pulled all nighters to get GitHub approved for participation in the MSFT-OpenAl deal using those test results.
Existing Microsoft AI teams worked to halt our work, pushing their own small, worse models instead of OpenAl's.
I protoyped and lobbied for creation of the VScode extension. I invented and hacked the ghost text prototype into VScode, I invented the block based termination and implemented all the tree-sitter based logic needed to do it. Then I had to lobby up to Satya to get Scode to implement proper support in less than 6 months.
I named it Copilot.

Congenital measles has rarely been seen in the U.S. That’s changing as vaccination declines and more pregnant women become infected.

how does early voting help protect the vote? 1. it forces the regime to spread out their limited resources & manpower over weeks instead of a single day 2. it provides *weeks* of time to address any registration/ballot issues that come up instead of just hours

Please read my former boss and old friend Nathaniel Raymond’s recent testimony to Parliament on how the world has so completely failed to protect Sudan’s civilians: committees.parliament.uk/writtenevide...
siege would last for over eighteen months-a period three times longer than the siege of Stalingrad and three quarters as long as the siege of Leningrad in World War II. HRL would issue a report almost every nine days during the siege for a total of nearly 70 reports by the time the city was fully surrounded by an earthen wall trapping those trying to flee." When El Fasher finally fell to the RSF after the defeat of the Sudan Armed Forces and Joint Forces militia in October 2025, RSF initiated the mass killing, rape, displacement, torture, and detention of tens of thousands of civilians, that RSF soldiers themselves would record on video and release on social media.'
iii
The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights concluded earlier this year that at least six thousand people were killed in the first six days of the massacre and the UN
Fact Finding Mission found in February that the killings bore the "hallmarks of genocide."v
HRL has assessed based on ground reports from human sources, UN figures, media reports by Sudanese journalists, and the analysis of over 150 piles consistent with clusters of human corpses that at least as many as 60,000 people may have been murdered between October and November in El Fasher. This number does not include those who died in attacks before the city fell to the RSF and those who died from starvation or disease.
To put this number in perspective, HRL's conservative estimate of those killed after the city fell to the RSF is six times that of the 1994 Srebrenica Genocide in Bosnia, twenty times 9/11, and higher than the initial death toll after the 1945 atomic detonation in Nagasaki.
Multiple months of the burning and burial of corpses by the RSF, clearly visible in satellite imagery, will likely make full accounting of the dead impossible.
