Thank you Jamie Bryson! Now if we can only convince her to take, Glinner, McGregor and Eoin O’Malley with her. Superb result. (Also no actual Irish person calls it “Republic of Ireland” in this context) #speirgorm

It all started on this day. Thank you for a wonderful twenty years.
Text in the center reads: 20 Years Oct. 2006 - Oct. 2026, clarkesworldmagazine.com

(right) Cover art for issue 241 by Marcel Deneuve is "Labyrinths of Azarax" and features a blue and white mechanical eye in a circular opening looking at a small, white, glowing humanoid figure standing on a large pipe in the tunnel. Many pipes line the walls, all heading out to the main room. Pipes are yellow and gray. Room beyond is blue.

(left) Cover art for issue 1 by Tomasz Pietrzyk is "The Town of the Towers" and features a surreal town of yellowy white distorted towers with reddish orange roofs that overhang the towers and rise to a point. Mishapen dark windows and doors are scattered about on the buildings. Orange sky gives the entire piece a warm tone.

Original and modern covers of DnD novel "Azure Bonds." In the original the woman on the cover has a boob window in her chainmail, in the edited modern version she does not. One imagines she will stay alive quite a bit longer in the modern version.

What an end to the first #NFL game in Brazil. #Ravens with a literally last second field goal to go 2-1 (like the rest of the AFC North), but so much to learn from that, and hopefully they will.

I heard the term ‘meat proxy’ recently, meaning someone who places themself as a human middleman between an employer and genAI, and it is simultaneously a perfect term for the practice, and existentially depressing when you realise how many want to nominate themselves for the role.

Someone should tell Bryant there already was a compromise. It was the alternate route that's been taken for nearly 30 years and has worked pretty well despite the regular antagonising applications from Portadown Orange District LOL 1 to parade down Garvaghy Road where they're not wanted.

Just to fully underline how spiteful this shit is for those unaware: On the left is the route the Orange Order have been ordered to take for the past 3 decades without trouble. On the right is the route that has brought hundreds of cops to Drumcree. The only motivation is sectarian antagonism.

I cannot ever forget how the marching bands refused to be silent, as requested, going past the house where the mother of those three murdered boys took refuge in the weeks after her unthinkable loss. A small detail that exposes everything this march is for.

Wouldn't matter if it was just 1 Orangeman looking to parade down the Garvaghy Road. The community have made their wishes perfectly clear, and what the Orange order wants to do is hold their hand up really close to the community's face and say "I'm not touching you" only a million times worse.

The bullying of Irish players by agents and billionaires is awful, and the decision should never have been left to the players. Government and FAI have completely failed them and the country.

If reports are true that Irish players are being threatened that they'll never play for US owned clubs in the UK if they pull out of the Israel game, then that's a great argument for getting US money out of European football.

Stop saying the agents are “acting improperly” or that the agents “went rogue”. AI agents are software. The agents just follow the instructions given to them. It was OpenAI who failed in ensuring their agents were controlled properly

Goodness, what a weight on the players. What a sense of clashing responsibilities it must be. How unfair it falls to the group of young men after their institutional supports chose to send them there.

I acknowledge this is clickbait, but also, ye gods, no. If someone doesn't hire you because of this, you absolutely did not want to work there. Interviews are stressful, bring in a coffee, or water, or honestly anything non-alcoholic. There should be water on the table, but even so.

so we need thousands of staff for transport infrastructure, thousands of staff for nursing homes and thousands of young people are leaving the country... and we are turning away people who want to come to ireland to work, while making those who are here wait longer for citizenship. ok grand

You might have noticed us soft launching our new logo around Eurocon and LA Worldcon, and we are very excited to share our new logo with everyone! After much discussion and deliberation, based on the original art by Shevaun Frazier, we have our new logo!
A photo of JC and Matylda stood together at the Dublin party at Eurocon. JC is a white man wearing a foam hat shaped like a block of yellow Swiss cheese. He is also wearing a dark blue Dublin 2029 tshirt. It has the new Dublin 2029 logo. It is a stylised lower case ‘d'. Within the circle of the letter is a drawing of a light blue planet with small craters, surrounded by stars. Below it reads 'DUBLIN 2029’. Matylda is a white woman with dark hair tied back, and is wearing read rimmed glasses, and a black tshirt over a red long sleeved top and blue trousers.
