I remember when TLOU2 released and the toxic environment and vitriol that was bred by its haters, to the point where voice actors like Laura Bailey received death threats over her portrayal of Abby. Seeing the same thing happen all over again, but this time to Bella Ramsey is so disappointing.

Something I've been thinking about while watching Buffy is how focused the writing/production is focused on keeping things engaging in time for each commercial break. The sense of urgency and fear you'll change the channel permeates in a way the vast majority of Streaming Era shows don't.

I think the best course of action to fight Gen AI is to make it not profitable. Boycott it. If there’s a company that’s too large to boycott entirely, then boycott any specific products that use Gen AI and encourage others to follow suit

Bought Coyote vs ACME on digital. Very good. More than anything I’m happy that we have a movie about Wile E Coyote that doesn’t feel the need to change him in any way to fit the film’s narrative, and instead it leans into the elements of the character that make him special.

#dressmaker stuff! it's very fun and as someone who actually sews i find the mechanics almost infuriatingly accurate sometimes (if only i could auto-cut out all my patterns). it does make my finger hurt (trackpad + hypermobility) so i have to parcel out my gameplay.

I'm happy that Paul W.S. Anderson has fans, but I will not be participating in RESIDENT EVIL re-appraisal. The first was vaguely notable for Jovovich and the fact that zombies were a dead genre, but other movies immediately followed that were far stronger examples of what the franchise attempted.
