Today, as I always do, I dropped a bag of empty bottles behind my studio which is a block away from a bottle depot that is frequented by the far too many unhoused folks in this city. A young guy asked me if I was leaving them there and I said yes. help yourself. He said thank you so much.

A little phoenix for #ArtAdventCalendar day 13! Made from polymer clay, all the feathers were cut and textured by hand. Accented with rhinestones for some extra sparkle! 🧶

Not sure what counts as art, but this is the closest thing I have to contribute to #ArtAdventCalendar. Two nightstands I built this summer to replace the awful Ikea ones we'd used for a decade.

Day 10 of #ArtAdventCalendar is a snowy day in Toronto. I love everything about snow except shovelling it. Its pretty, it's dramatic, it's cool & fresh, it's quiet and, if you're dressed for it, it's cozy. I paint the snow often and it's always different. Crisp, deep, blowing, sparkling, sloppy.

On this day in 1989, an armed gunman murdered 14 women at École Polytechnique de Montréal. Another ten women and four men were injured. The anniversary of the massacre is commemorated annually on Dec. 6 as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

A black granite memorial plaque features a circular arrangement of names in white text, bordered by silver rivets. At the top center is an emblem of a bee with gears.
