It’s, um…interesting that the documentation req’d by disadvantaged folks to access social safety net programs - in the interest of “accountability” to ensure no improper use - is not req’d by the very politicians who rail about the need to be responsible with taxpayer dollars.

I wrote about the Supreme Court's nonstop lawless cruelty ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/ketan...
Screenshot of a paragraph excerpted from the linked article, with the text highlighted in green from the word "But" onwards. Excerpt reads as follows:

In places like Thursday’s speech and Friday’s dissent, Jackson has continuously sought to call attention to the deeply perverse ways that the Court is exercising its equity jurisdiction on the shadow docket. Under the Court’s precedents, emergency applicants are supposed to show that they’re “likely to succeed on the merits” of their appeal from a lower court’s ruling, that they will be “irreparably injured” without immediate relief, and that the balance of the equities tilts in their favor; in other words, fairness is both the explicit purpose and the explicit standard. But the Republican justices have repeatedly abandoned those standards in service of their own purposes. And when the people empowered to wield equitable jurisdiction are actively hostile to the concept of equity, they produce injustice instead.

These ads go in the same category as brazen, easily disproven lies after ICE killings. It’s not about persuasion. It’s a display of power. They could have passed them off as PAC-funded. They added “paid for by the U.S. government” because they want us to know they can break the law with impunity.

I asked America.gov whether Donald Trump is an adjudicated rapist and it responded: basically, yes so that clears that up at least
Andrea's prompt for America.gov reads "is donald trump an adjudicated rapist" and the bot response is:

In civil litigation brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, a federal jury found Donald Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation, awarding damages.

Regarding the specific legal term:

The jury did not find him liable for "rape" under the narrow legal definition used in New York penal law at the time, but instead found him liable for "sexual abuse".
The presiding judge later clarified in post-trial rulings that the jury's verdict established that Trump had forcibly sexually assaulted and digitally penetrated her, which meets common understandings of rape even though it did not match the specific statutory elements required for that charge under New York criminal law.

Just a reminder that this is the same Sen. Schmitt who repeatedly claimed that Chief Judge Boasberg was receiving a disproportionate share of Trump-related cases because he confused the D.C. Superior Court (which has 62 judges) with the D.C. district court (which has 15).

[3-D render of the WH] The administration is set to spend at least $900 million on White House construction projects alone. (Aaron Steckelberg/The Post)

• Building spree: No modern president has done more to personally reshape the nation's capital. His allies credit it as a major achievement, while many others just want him to stop.
• See for yourself: Scroll through this interactive map of D.C. to reveal the extent of Trump's changes, from blades of grass on the White House lawn to new monuments around the city.
