It's a pity. I just feel as though they would all agree that children should be taught that stealing is wrong and that cheating is wrong, but then do those things themselves when they use AI. I find it so hard to wrap my head around.

I'm horrified, but I also wish I was more surprised. A few fb groups for aspiring kids authors seem to get pushed to my feed fairly regularly, and I often see people having to explain to self published authors that if they use an AI cover, people will probably assume that the text is AI as well.
