For the last three years in Devon, I’ve been learning how to ring the bells in our local church tower. But the tower is cracking, and we’re going to have to sell off our lovely bells unless we can pay to fix the tower 😭 Can you help us, with even a fiver? 🙏 www.gofundme.com/f/save-bovey...

Save Bovey Bells: we need your help!
Bells have been ringing out over Bovey Tracey for more than 500 years, and we don’t want to be the generation that lost our bells.

The steel girders that hold up the bells are badly corroded and putting pressure on the tower walls, which are cracking. This problem will only get worse!
We need to remove the bells and their heavy frame, replace the girders with modern galvanised steel, then reinstall the bells and their frame.

We need to raise £125,000 to repair the tower. The ringers themselves have already raised about £60,000 and need to find the other £65,000.

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.
