Really enjoyed Spider-man Brand New Day. I'm a lifelong Spider-Boy so the Holland movies are designed just for me, but I'll always be salty with Sony for pissing away Kraven in their dopey spinoff. Kraven's Last Hunt is probably Spider-man at its best and we'll never get it in the MCU.

💫 Hi! I wrote a little thing about Moose Kid Comics, the children’s anthology we put together ten years ago. (Which you can still read online or as PDFs here www.moosekidcomics.com)

We're somewhere around the ten year
anniversary of MOOSE KID COMICS, so I thought what better time to revisit one of the things I'm proudest of.
Moose Kid was born out of a need to get more children's comics off the ground (ten years ago was a real wasteland, not like now) and I had: Some Strong Ideas.
So I enlisted the help of an absolute wishlist of incredible comic artists - from well established pros to webcomic creators and everyone in between, and together we made Moose Kid Comics.
Three issues and a Christmas special. All on big, newspaper print, lovely quality. Genuinely, some of the most wonderful children's comics are in there, every artist gave their time for free, and you can even read the entire run either online or as PDFs, just google Moose Kid Comics.
As for the printed editions, we ran a fundraiser (smashed it), and printed many, many hundreds of copies to send to children's hospitals. We did a really good thing, and every artist involved was a vital part of that.
That aside, we did get some interest from publishers (came to nowt), and I know some of the artists got work out of it too. In the end I had to fold it, it was just taking too much time to bring together.
But we proved a point. We made our own comic. And it was really, really good.

Actually, on the subject of comics in the classroom: One big hurdle I’ve found is teachers lacking confidence in drawing. I cannot recommend Ed Emberley’s how to draw books enough for this. He has a whole range, but Make A World & Faces are the two I’d start with.

Really enjoying the first few issues of Absolute Batman. It has none of the grim-dark for grim-dark sake vibe I was worried it would have and their decision to make Bruce look as childlike as possible when out of costume makes his one man war seem even more overwhelming.
