An Oystercatcher and gull were minding their own business on a bar when there was an unexpected tern of events. One for the alt of today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme #BlueWater, birds surrounded by Blue Water.

A Black Oystercatcher, a glaucous-winged gull, and a Caspian Tern, in order are on barnacle covered small rocks with blue ocean behind them. The Oystercatcher is a smaller all-black bird with an orange beak. The Gull is a white bird with light grey wings, pink legs and feetg, and a yellow beak. The tern is landing on the rocks, wings extended up. It is a mostly white bird with a black topped head and an orange beak.
