It shows the net percentage of total votes that each demo contributed to Trump in 2020 and in 2024, then calculates the shift in that percentage between the two elections (did the demo give Trump larger or smaller %s of total votes in 2024 compared to 2020?). It also shows the percentage of total voters that each demographic represented in each election, and calculates how much that percentage changed (was the demo a larger or smaller percentage of total 2024 voters compared to 2020?).

The chart demonstrates that while many demographics shifted in Trump’s favor in 2024, many of those who did also represented smaller shares of total voters compared to 2020.
