My parents left my hometown in PA in 1996 and I can still recite their old number without hesitation. It was mine through all of high school and it was the one I used to call home from college. I can also recite the number I had in Indiana from 1993 to 2000, and I imagine some friends could too.

I think it's interesting how neatly you can organize the R.E.M. albums chronologically: - 5 albums on IRS - 5 albums on Warner Brothers with Bill Berry - 5 albums on Warner Brothers without Bill Berry My favorites bridge the first two phases, and I have not spent much time with the third phase.
