Happy Bloomsday. Here's a stupid thing I made back in April while rereading Ulysses and came across the phrase "aurora borealis" in the Circe chapter.

Today I learned about fanfare trumpets, which look like regular trumpets but with an extended tube so you can hang banners from it. The US Army Herald Trumpets played "God Bless America" during the Phillies game tonight and it sounded awesome.
