It's #NoMowMay! Who's giving the mower a rest this year?🌼
The image presents a comparison between two types of lawns to promote #NoMowMay. On top, titled "Why have a lawn like this?" it displays a grid of uniform green squares representing a plain, regularly mowed lawn. Below, titled "When you can have a lawn like this?" the grid intersperses colourful icons of a sunflower, a pink flower, a ladybug, a frog, a bee, a butterfly, a white flower with a yellow centre, a tulip, another sunflower, a red mushroom with white spots, and additional flowers, symbolising a lively, biodiverse lawn encouraged by letting grass grow naturally during May and beyond.

Just a reminder🌼: Dandelions are a crucial source of early nectar for pollinators. Flowering usually peaks in a few weeks' time, but we are already receiving reports of good numbers of dandelions across the hemisphere. So, if you're mowing, consider leaving a few plants to flower 🐝 #dandelions #bees

Rehabilitation of the Dandelion! No other plant in the Netherlands attracts as many bee species: 107. In early spring, when nothing else is blooming, it is simply there. Meadow bird chicks that have just hatched depend on the insects that are drawn to dandelions. No dandelion, no insect, no chick.
