I define the genre "-punk" as a suffix that hints the worldbuilding as a story/place where the protag's wants to siphon resources from systems that ostracized & ignore communities. I.E. Marspunk, Aztecpunk, Atlantianpunk... Try mixing the suffix "-craftian" with other concepts to seed exploration?

I hate the assumption that video games should revolve around a "core gameplay loop". I even hate the phrase "core gameplay loop" I don't want a highly polished loop, I want to play an erratic adventure through the wilderness. A weird thing about me is that I make so much art for YouTube reviews that I never otherwise share or use for anything else. In my mind a lot of it isn't really good enough, or it's just an excuse to practice. So my channel is like a video sketchbook.

Honestly, the concepts from G-Force / Battle of the Planets / Science Ninja Team Gatchaman - and I mean the originals, not the shit from the movie where they stripped all the colour out of their designs. Or the 94 version with the nonsensical squiggle wing cloaks. These blew my mind as a kid.

WipEout was released 31 years ago. Since the game is set in 2052, we're already more than halfway there. 😁 A technical gem, this Psygnosis game made a huge splash on the PS1 (and other platforms). Especially with its electro soundtrack and in-game branding & artworks by The Designers Republic.
